Los Angeles

While in LA we managed to do a couple of things even though our stay was really short.
First of all every other meal we had was at in and out. I am surprised I didn't gain 10kilos.
Apart from disneyland we went to santa Monica and Venice beach (next post), Hollywood walk of fame, Frederick R. Weisman Art Foundation and drove around a lot.

First of all the Frederick Weisman Foundation. If you enjoy art then I highly recommend it.
So much art and the tour is free. You DO have to book an appointment in advance since visiting is by appointment only. Click here for more info.

The foundation used to be their house so it is fully furnished and there is art everywhere even the ceiling! They have works from artists like Lichtenstein, Warhol, Miro, Clifford, Haring etc.
The docents are very nice and knowledgable and do listen to them since there are no description signs next to the art. Pictures are not allowed inside the building. I believe they do it so people can keep up with the tour and pay attention. (Weisman's wife is a family friend that is why Iave some photos)

Rodeo Drive features the greatest brands. And you often see some really nice cars drive by :p

I don't really like the walk of fame. It is way too busy with people and street artists and people dressed up as movie characters etc that you get a headache. We just went there to just have a look and go to a movie at the movie theater. Visiting once is ok in my opinion I mean everyone wants to see the stars right? :)

Next post will be about Venice and Santa Monica beach.

...and don't forget to book your tour at the Weisman Foundation next time you are in LA :p
