Feneos - Limni Doxa

On Tuesday 28 October it was a national holiday here so my friends and I decided to go on a road trip. We wanted a place close to Athens and limni Doxa is just 2 and a half hrs away (driving).

The weather was not the best, it was raining at times, but we didn't mind. Plus the fog makes everything look creepier and cooler especially since halloween was just a few days away.

If you are around and you got nothing better to do its a nice road trip especially this time of the year where the leafs are changing color.

Hope you like the photos.

Lake Doxa is artificially made and in the middle of the lake there is a small peninsula you can walk to with a small church of Agios Fanourios. As you walk to the church on the road there are small stalls where locals sell their products such as honey, jam, crackers and more.

Matching jackets with the dog and the boy.

We also visited the Saint George Monastery. It is a very nice monastery and it is worth a visit.
Be sure to go early because I think it closes around 1 or 2 pm.

The monastery offered great services during the independence war in 1821.

The Secret School operated in the monastery and it is still preserved so you can take a look at it while you are there. (pictured above)
